Delia is a political scientist (PhD-Politics; M.Sc.-Political Science) with more than fifteen years of experience in diverse industrial sectors and in, among others, communication and management. Integral to her diversity and inclusion work portfolio are: serving as the EDI advisor and co-chair of a non-profit in Edmonton, driving public-private partnership advocacies on change for equity-seeking groups, including leading a Wits University team on the Cooperation Framework between Finland and South Africa (COFISA) on making Johannesburg a “world-class city by 2050”, facilitating global stakeholder engagement and roundtables on the environmentally-devastated Niger Delta region in Nigeria and its exclusion in wealth creation and development, designing generational equity frameworks for radio programming and facilitating gender equity in the Africa Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA), Nigeria.
Delia is a 2015 awardee and “Inductee - Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, USA”. She writes poems and short stories and has a daily yoga and meditation routine.
