Helen Fitzgerald joins the CCDI Consulting team as a Project Coordinator.
She holds a degree in Psychology with Criminology and over ten years’ experience in a variety of industries. This ranges from hospitality, entertainment & events to disability services in education and criminal justice. The common thread throughout has been nurturing strong working relationships to ensure she is able to provide the needed support and making a positive impact in the communities she interacts with.
A family trip to Iceland in 2013 ignited a passion for travel and Helen feels fortunate to have travelled to several countries since. She particularly enjoys experiencing different cultures, connecting with people, sampling amazing food and getting out of her comfort zone. In 2018, Helen moved from England to Canada to try living abroad and has since settled in Calgary permanently.
Helen is a mental health advocate who champions diversity and creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcomed, accepted and appreciated.
In her down time, Helen enjoys reading as well as listening to music and podcasts. When connecting with friends, this is often through roleplaying adventures, board games or checking out events held across the city. She also likes to spend time in the mountains (even when it’s cold as she still loves seeing the snow) and planning her next travel destination.
