Shirley Prasad-Naiviqa is an experienced Talent Management Practitioner with an extensive portfolio that includes transportation services, travel and tourism, private security and hospitality industries. Shirley is well-versed in employee and labour relations, change management initiatives and employee engagement. She has implemented several successful projects such as Mental Health in the Workplace, Learning and Development programs and employee engagement events. Shirley has also spearheaded various Diversity and Inclusion initiatives throughout her career, including creating multi-faith spaces, and developing Employee Resource Groups that would help identify barriers, tackles issues and help generate Diversity and Inclusion goals and objectives.
As a first-generation Canadian, Shirley has experienced many workplace cultural challenges that employees from diverse backgrounds may encounter. Shirley draws on her experiences to create an inclusive and positive corporate culture. Shirley is a naturally curious leader and is always open to questioning her own biases and those around her. As such, she's turned her theories and struggles into positive actions that have helped organizations advance in Mental Health, Diversity, Inclusion and Equity.
Shirley is currently pursuing her MBA in Human Resources. In her spare time, Shirley volunteers with the Canadian Red Cross as a People Services volunteer. She cherishes spending time with her family.
