Episodic disabilities are life-long conditions — such as diabetes, HIV, cancer, and multiple sclerosis — marked by fluctuating, and unpredictable, periods of wellness and illness. The unpredictable nature of episodic disabilities can lead to several workplace challenges. This workshop provides an overview of the types of episodic disabilities as well as their prevalence. Participants will learn more about what they can do as someone living with an episodic disability, or as a manager or supervisor to create and maintain an inclusive workplace
